Jammu Club
Guest House
-
These rules may be called as
the Jammu Club Guest House ( Occupation and Use )
Rules, 1993. These shall come into force with
immediate effect.
-
The name of the Guest House shall be
“Club – Inn”.
-
It shall be at the absolute
discretion of the management of the Club to allot
for use and occupation accommodation in the
Club-Inn. Every allottee and occupant of
accommodation in the Club-Inn or part thereof
shall be a license of Jammu Club and liable to
eviction there from without any notice at the sole
discretion of the Club management.

During his occupation of the Club-Inn and till
such time as the management decides, the
management shall have the sole right and charge
over the luggage and other belongings of the
allottees / occupants. |

|
|
The persons in the following categories shall be entitled to use and occupy and Club-Inn as Guests
:
- Members of Jammu Club of whatever kind.
- Permanent Members of the Clubs affiliated to Jammu Club.
- Guests of Permanent Members of Jammu Club.
- Such other persons, as may, at the sole discretion of the President, Vice-President or the Managing Committee be entitled and deserving of being allowed to use and occupy the Club-Inn.

The Patron, President and the Vice-President of
the Club and their spouses shall have the first
right to be guests in the Club-Inn and shall be
entitled to stay there free of any charge for such
period of time, as may from time to time to
prescribed by the Managing Committee.

Initially no Guest shall be allowed to occupy the
accommodation in the Club-Inn for more than three
consecutive days which may in exceptional cases be
extended to five days. Occupation beyond five days
shall be deemed to be unauthorized, except with
the prior approval of the President, the Vice
President or the Secretary of the Club. Occupation
beyond five days shall also entail the levy of
double the normal charges for use and occupation.

The check out time of the Club-Inn shall be 12
noon every day and it shall be the responsibility
of every Guest to vacate the room occupied by him
before the check out time, failing which he shall
be liable to be charged for the next days room
rent.

The following tariff shall be charged from the Guests for occupation in the Club-Inn
:
- Rooms Rs. 800/- per day
- Deluxe Rooms Rs. 1000/- per day
- President & Vice President Suite Rs. 1500/- per day
- Extra bedding Rs. 175/- per day
Note :
Children below 12 years of age shall be accommodated with parents in the same room without any extra charge, but shall not be provided any extra bedding and shall be liable to pay for the eatables and beverages, etc.

The tariff aforementioned
is inclusive of room rent, morning tea,
breakfast and evening tea. These however, are
meant only for single or double occupants of
the room, as the case may be. Extra persons
including children staying in the room shall
be liable to pay, over and above extra room
rent, charges for all the eatables and
beverages etc, and nothing shall be served to
them complimentary or as a part of room
tariff.

Every Guest staying in the
Club-Inn shall be treated as a temporary
member of the Club and shall be issued
immediately on his arrival, a card for that
purpose which shall entitle him to use all
Club facilities during his stay in the
Club-Inn on payment of same charges as are
applicable to other members of the Club. The
guests staying in the Club-Inn are not in the
normal course expected to bring their local
guests in the Club’s premises, but subject to
prior approval / clearance by the Club
Secretary and on payment of Guest Charges @ Rs.
25/- per guest, may in exceptional case be
granted this privilege.

The guest shall be liable
to pay Rs. 2.50 for every local call and
actual expenses plus 10% service charges for
all other telephone calls.

Room service shall be
confined only to serving tea and breakfast, if
possible, in the rooms. No meals or drinks
shall be served in the rooms.

The guests shall be
required to make payments of their bills in
cash preferably in advance and in any case
before their check-out from the Club-Inn.

If a permanent member of
the Club wants to book accommodation in
Club-Inn for his guests, he shall do so in
advance and shall also sign an undertaking in
the Performa appended with these rules to the
effect that he shall be liable and responsible
for the conduct and behavior of his guest and
that in case of any un-paid claims of the Club
in respect of such a guest, he shall be liable
to make good the payment thereof to the Club..

The accommodation in the
Club-Inn shall be made available on first come
first served basis. It however, may be varied
in exceptional cases at the sole discretion of
the President or the Vice President or the
Secretary with prior approval of the Vice
President.

Members of affiliated clubs
shall be required to bring with them their
identity cards and a request in writing from
the Secretary of the affiliated Club for
occupation of the Club-Inn. Advance intimation
from the concerned affiliated clubs shall be
more desirable to ensure proper reservation of
accommodation.

Guests shall be responsible
for proper up keep of the rooms and shall also
be liable for any loss or breakage..

Suites shall not ordinarily
be allotted except in exceptional cases with
the prior approval of the Vice President
either generally or in individual cases.

The President or the Vice
President may, if he thinks fit in the
interest of the Club and for Club`s
developmental activities, allot accommodation
in the Club-Inn to any individual or group of
individuals, even though he does not form a
part of the category of persons entitled to
use and occupation thereof.

The timings of the services in the Club-Inn shall be as under
:
- Morning Tea : 06:00 A.M. to 08:00 A.M.
- Breakfast : 07:30 A.M. to 09:30 A.M.
- Lunch & Dinner : As per Club’s timings.
- Evening Tea : 04:30 P.M. to 06:00 P.M.

The guests occupying the Club-Inn shall be excepted to be courteous towards the Members of the Club, the
management and staff of the Club and the Club-Inn.

The Club management reserves to itself the exclusive right to ask any guest in the Club-Inn to vacate the accommodation for any act of misconduct on the part of the guest or for indulging in any activity which may be considered prejudicial to good order and discipline and on being so asked, the guest shall be required to vacate the accommodation immediately and forthwith.

The Club-Inn is meant for use and occupation by persons who are ordinarily not residents of Jammu city. The accommodation in the Club-Inn therefore, shall not normally be available for use by Members of the Club who have their residence in Jammu City.

The President or the Vice President may at his sole discretion, in the interest of the Club, waive off or dispense with any provision contained in these rules.
-
In case of any dispute or difference, the decision of the Club Management shall be binging upon the guests staying in the Club-Inn.
RULES
Any request for cancellation shall have to be communicated in writing to the Club Office.
Cancellation Charges :
Up to 48 hours
Before check in time
10% of the Rent value.
Between 48 to 24 hours
Before check in time
25% of the Rent value.
Less than 24 hours
Before check in time
50% of the Rent value.
For reciprocal members accommodation booking on
100% advance and recommendation letter from the
executive of the affiliated club. |
