MEMBERSHIP :

The membership of the club shall be restricted to :

• Gazetted Officers, in service or retired, of the Jammu & Kashmir State.
   

• Gazetted Commissioned Officers, in service retired, of the Union of India or any State in India.
   

• Senior Executives / Officials of public sector undertakings owned vested and controlled by Central or State
  Governments as may be notified by the Managing Committee from time to time.

• Non-Official residents of good social position and their families and sportsmen of good standing as are in the
  opinion of the Managing Committee considered suitable for admission as permanent members.

EXPLANATION :

The words “good social position” means a person shall atleast be a graduate and Income Tax Payee.Provided however, the members in categories (i), (ii) and (iii) shall constitute 65% of the total membership and the number of members belonging to category (iv) shall not exceed 35%.

Provided further that 30% of the available vacancies shall be reserved for children of permanent members of the club with atleast 15 years standing membership, (as on date of application) subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria prescribed herein this constitution, on payment of 25% of admission fee prescribed for category (iv) in vogue at the time of admission.

• In case of demise of a member the Lady wife of the member may transfer her membership in favour of any one of her children without any admission fee provided the ward is otherwise eligible for enrolment.

• Not-withstanding anything contained in sub section (1), no male or female below the age of 21 years shall be eligible for the membership of the Club.
